Rehearsals are fun and relaxed, with a supportive, friendly atmosphere. Members say that they might arrive tired after a busy week, but leave feeling full of vitality: also, many had never imagined performing in public, but found they gained the confidence to enjoy doing so. Audiences comment on the warmth and enthusiasm we project. All this reflects the spirit of the music we sing - full of life and joy, expressing an enthusiastic relationship with God.
​The Joyous Praise Rockin’ Gospel Choir’ is a community gospel choir in the Great Yarmouth area of Norfolk. Originally formed in September 2011 for a one-off concert, the choir enjoyed singing together so much that we decided to continue as a group. We have raised over £1,500 for charity by putting on concerts in the Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth area, together with African drumming group Dumisani (see Dumisani African drumming on facebook). We also sing at occasional church events.
